Over 25 years ago AirPal-Patient Transfer Systems, Inc. was the first to offer an air assisted lateral transfer and positioning device to the Healthcare Industry. The AirPal Platform has an underside that is perforated for air release.

When connected to the Air-Pal Air Supply a constant flow of high volume low pressure air causes the Platform to inflate a semi-rigid surface for patient transfers or positioning. As air escapes out the perforations, a frictionless surface, literally a “cushion” of air, is formed upon which the patient is moved almost effortlessly.

The AirPal Air Supply has been tested to comply with the latest UL Standard (60601 -1)for Electrical Medical Devices. To comply with the UL Standard the AirPal Air Supply was tested while connected to an AirPal Platform with a simulated patient weight of 1200lbs.

In addition to the UL Certification, the AirPal Air Supply is also certified to CSA (601.1), and carries the CE Mark. The certifications ensure easy internal approvals for use in clinical environments.

The AirPal Air Supply is lightweight, compact and portable. It can be used independently or in conjunction with the AirPal Stand (AirPal’s mobility and storage solution). When used independent of the AirPal Stand -the AirPal Air Supply can be hung from the side of the bed or stretcher the patient has been transferred to, via the integrated hook. In this way the AirPal Air Supply can travel with the patient without the need to bring along an extra piece of equipment.

Additional Security

After adjustment of the length to fit the user, the CalfStrap is very easily attached via clasps to the leg supports on the MiniLift.

Care Instructions for the CalfStrap

The CalfStrap Leg Support is made from low-friction polyester, and can be machine washed at 60 - 85°C. Do not use rinsing aid. To prolong the service life of the product, avoid tumble-drying.

If your patient uses a thicker mattress, finding a base sheet that fits their bed while also preventing decubitis ulcers can be difficult. Available in six different options to suit the needs of your patient and the size of their bed, the Etac SatinSheet 2D Maxi Base Sheet offers improved versatility to suit a wide range of user needs. Please note that this version of the base sheet is the only sheet that is fitted with corner straps. This is particularly suited to mattresses that are thicker in design.

Care Instructions

The Etac 2D Two Direction Maxi Base Sheet is suitable for machine washing at 80°C. Please note that fabric softener or bleach should not be used on this product. The sheet can be tumble dried but should not be dry cleaned, and is suitable for ironing on a low heat.

Care Instructions for the WendyLett Sliding Aid

The WendyLett Sliding Aid can be washed in 60°C to 90°C water and tumble-dried. The lined design of the sheet makes it easy to distinguish in the laundry.

How Often Should I Replace the Sheet?

As the sheet may be used more or less frequently depending on individual requirements, there is no guidance on when the sheet should be replaced. However, if you feel that the slide sheet is not providing the level of control as it once did, you may find that it's worth replacing it, especially in cases of continued heavy use.
