TurnSafe2 Patient Transfer Aid

The TurnSafe2 Patient Transfer Aid is a compact, ergonomic and very easy-to-use device for sit-to-stand positioning and transfers with turning. It has been developed in close co-operation with medical personnel and users, and therefore it efficiently looks out for the interests of both parties. The ThoraxSling Patient Lifting Sling is made from low-friction polyester that can be machine washed at 60 - 85°C. Do not use rinsing agent. To ensure maximum service life of your sling, hang dry or tumble-dry on a low heat.

StandingVest Supportive Training Belt Extra Small

The StandingVest Supportive Training Belt is specially designed for activating users in a standing shell in connection with standing training. It provides support at the groin, around the upper body and all the way up to the head through a leg harness. Though the original handle supplied with your Harvest Lifting Pole Handle is of a high quality, after long term and frequent use you may feel that a spare or replacement is necessary to get the most out of your pole. The Spare Handle for Harvest Lifting Poles is of the same quality and build as the original handle supplied with your pole, and allows you to use your lifting pole to its fullest capacity.

Sling Bar Wrap for the MiniLift Standing Aid

Those who use the MiniLift 160 or MiniLift 200 Standing Aid will know how innovative it is in conducting smooth, gentle and comfortable sit-to-stand transfer of patients with impaired balance or weak strength. The Sling Bar Wrap is a useful pad that provides soft protection to the middle bar to protect a user's head in the event of an impact.

Safety Precaution

The Sling Bar Wrap is an optional accessory that can be used with MiniLift Standing Aid or other patient lifting devices. It serves as a safety precaution in the event of the user's head making impact with the mid-section of the sling bar during a lift.

The wrap is suitable for patients who use slings that enable an upright seated posture, or for patients who have a tendency to tilt forward during a lift due to poor balance or uncontrolled movements.

How to Attach the Sling Bar Wrap

Place the Sling Bar Wrap around the mid-section of the lifting bar. The open section allows connection of the link from the lift arm for easy fastening. Then, secure the Sling Bar Wrap by joining the Velcro strips.

Cleaning the Sling Bar Wrap

The Sling Bar Warp is made from nylon that is easily wiped clean using disinfectant. If disinfection is needed, 70% ethanol, 45% isopropanol or similar alcohol disinfectants should be used.

Choosing the Right Size

Though all versions of the Sling Bar are compatible to use with many of SystemRoMedic's mobile and stationary patient lifts, it is still imperative to choose the right sized Sling Bar depending on the sling being used and the person being transferred.

• Small is more narrow and suitable for normal lifting of children and petite adults, and is also suitable to use for gait training.
• Medium is the standard size used for the majority of patient lifts and is adaptable to the vast majority of lifting situations.
• Large is the widest Sling Bar available, and is excellent to use on larger patient as it provides increased room within the sling.

How to use the Locomotor Kelly Stand Patient Standing Aid

• Leg Opening - To open the legs of the kelly stand press the leg open button on the hand control or on the battery compartment. The legs can be set in any position depending on how long the button is held for. To close the legs press the leg close button on the hand control or on the battery compartment. When the legs are either fully open or fully closed they will stop automatically. 
• Brakes - The rear castors are fitted with brakes which stop the kelly stand from moving. To operate the brakes, press on the brake pedal, using the ball of the foot To unlock, push the brake pedal upwards. 
• Standing - Select a suitable sling, Assess the height of the patient in his or her chair and adjust the height of the attachment point (karabiner) using hand controller. Adjust the width of the legs to fit round the clients chair using the leg opening button on the hand controller and position the kelly stand. Place the patients feet on the foot plate. Attach the sling to the karabiner, using the hand control take up the weight by pressing the up button on the hand control. Make sure the sling is correctly fitted, i.e. not twisted or the wrong length, and the client comfortable. Continue lifting until the client is clear of the chair. The kelly stand can now be moved to the transfer point i.e. chair or commode. Keep all movements as smooth as possible to make the client feel safe and secure. The legs can be adjusted if necessary to pass though a doorway. To place the client back in the chair reverse the procedure. The remote hand control allows the attendant to stand in a good position for repositioning the client in their chair
• Moving the kelly stand - Always make sure the brakes are off, when moving the kelly stand. Try to pull the kelly stand (rather than push), either in a circular motion by pulling sideways on one handle, or backwards by pulling on both handles.
