The Cardiff Aldasorber scavenges exhaled and waste halothane gases from the operating theatre environment to minimise the effects of long term exposure to halothane-based products. The expired gases pass through activated charcoal which absorbs volatile anaesthetic gases (excluding nitrous oxide).
