The Provale Regulating Cup has been created to preserve the dignity of those who suffer from dysphagia or disorders associated with difficulty swallowing. The cup can be filled at the beginning of the meal and the diner can drink independently at will. The cup delivers a measured amount of liquid (5ml or 10ml, depending on which cup you purchase) to the drinker to prevent choking.

What is Dysphagia?
Dysphagia is a condition that affects a person's ability to swallow successfully. It can occur from disability or head injury, but is more commonly seen in stroke victims.

Since strokes can often minimise sensation felt in the body, it means that patients may not always notice food or liquid accidentally entering the lungs instead of the oesophagus, which is referred to as silent aspiration.

Measured Amounts of Liquid
The Provale Regulating Cup is designed to preserve the dignity of those who have difficulty in swallowing liquids safely. It delivers a measured amount of liquid as the user drinks (5ml or 10ml depending on preference), helping to make swallowing easier and prevent the risk of choking.

Easy To Clean
The cup has the option of one or two easy-grip handles or a no-handle design, so that the user can find a grip that is most comfortable for them.

It also allows clean up to be limited to one piece of dinnerware, rather than the several parts of other feeders, and is completely dishwasher safe.
