Unisharp 1ml 27g Fixed Needle Syringe: Mixed Colours - Pack Of 100

These Unisharp 1ml 27G fixed needle syringes, with coloured plungers and needle caps come in equal quantities of all 5 colours.

Unisharp 1ml fixed needle syringes are used for injecting water soluble drugs. The 27G needle is slightly thicker and stronger than the 29G and 30G needles, and is mainly used for injecting drugs into veins, especially where there is scar tissue which makes injecting with thinner needles difficult.

The Unisharp 27G fixed needle syringes have our improved and customised syringe body design, introducing important, new, unique features to make self-injection easier, including:

  • Adding a 10mm plunger end disk (for improved control);
  • Removal of the collar around the plunger above the finger grips (for better access); and
  • Larger finger grips.C

These are low dead space (LDS) syringes.

Orders for mixed colours are supplied with equal numbers of each colour.

The key features of the Unisharp syringe are:

  • Five different plunger colours to reduce sharing;
  • A different colour range for each gauge;
  • Matching needle cap colour to increase recognition;
  • Markings in ml (rather than insulin units); and
  • Availability in 27G, 29G, and 30G needle sizes.

The 'mixing up' of syringes when groups of people are injecting together has long been recognised as a significant cause of accidental sharing – and blood borne virus transmission. To see the youtube video of Professor Avril Taylor explaining this research, and showing examples of accidental sharing, CLICK HERE. (video opens in a new window)

By supplying syringes with coloured plungers you can now reduce blood-borne virus transmission more effectively by:

  • Reducing the risk of accidental sharing;
  • Reinforcing the importance of having your own equipment, and not sharing;
  • Making the issue of sharing explicit with every syringe; and
  • strategies to prevent accidental sharing.

We can supply any quantity of Unisharp fixed syringes. The carton sizes are boxes of 100, 1000, 2000, and 3600.
