PocketLab Fentanyl test - Pack of 100
A kit for conducting a quick and easy test, to see if a powder has any fentanyl in it, or has been in contact with fentanyl.
Simply take a small sample of the powder on the cotton bud, add it to the buffer solution, and then test with the strip as per the instructions.
The strip is a highly sensitive urine test - detecting as little as 1000 ng/ml of fentanyl. This may be too sensitive, and could possibly pick up levels of fentanyl that are well below psychoactive doses from the air, or contamination of powder during handling in the supply chain.
SureScreen are developing a less sensitive test that will be less susceptible to false positive tests. We will stock this as soon as it's ready. Fentanyl is relatively rare in the UK and environmental contamination is less likely to occur than it is in the US or Canada, where fentanyl is more common.
These tests do NOT tell you how much of the substance being screened for is in your sample, but can at least give some reassurance, if negative, that there are no potentially fatal traces of this highly lethal opiate analogue in your drugs.
Can also be dipped into urine, post dose, to see if a recently taken drug contained fentanyl.
Instructions:
Use the cotton bud to swab a wrap, area, or substance;
Snap the swab into the buffer solution;
Shake buffer solution with swab inside;
Take the cap off the solution, and dip the strip into the buffer; and
Wait for result.

Wound Care Pack - Pack of 100
Ulcers on the limbs of people who inject drugs are painful, debilitating, and at high risk of infection. This wound care pack gives people the means to clean and cover a wound until they can get to a healthcare professional who can assess and treat it.
Originally designed by Bristol Drugs Project as a first aid intervention for their drug service and NSP workers to give to clients as an interim measure to reduce the risk of further damage while they seek specialist assessment and treatment from the wound care nurse, the pack has a range of 3 dressings which can be used separately or together to:
Soak up exudate;
Prevent the wound surface becoming dry (dry wounds heal more slowly);
Reduce the risk of infection; and
Prevent clothing further damaging the delicate healing surfaces.
The pack contains:
4 x Sterowipes to clean the wound and the skin around it;
1 x Zetuvit E pad. A non-irritant, non-adherent, highly absorbent dressing pad with an absorbent core made of soft cellulose fluff, a tissue layer for distribution of exudate, and a blue non-woven polypropylene layer on the backing of the dressing for protection against contamination;
2 x Steroswab. Sterile, non-woven swabs that can be used to cushion and protect, and prevent dryness in an open wound;
2 x Steropad. Highly absorbent, low adherent double-sided absorbent dressings to cover the wound area;
2 x Steroply conforming bandages to hold the dressings in place, and provide further protection;
A roll of hypoallergenic medical tape to secure the bandage;
A sealable plastic bag to put used dressings in; and
A wound care advice and information leaflet.
By having a pack to hand to give to people, services are able to demonstrate that they take this issue of soft tissue infections seriously, add weight to their referral to specialist services, and take immediate steps to reduce the pain suffering, and expense of this common complication of long-term injecting.
NOTE: the bandage is just to hold the dressing in place, and should not be too tightly applied as this could restrict blood flow to the wound. This shouldn't be a problem when it's first applied as it isn't highly elastic, and will relax within half a day or so. If it is reapplied people should be advised that they should be able to comfortably fit two fingers under the bandage.

Crack pipe kits are designed to demonstrate how a glass pipe can make an effective, and safer, alternative to injecting crack cocaine, a more essential skill than ever now that COVID-19 has completely changed the risk profile of crack pipe sharing.

5 high quality fine mesh 20mm brass gauzes ready to be inserted in the pipe - which has an inner diameter of 8mm - by being pushed down with the chopstick (also supplied).
In use, the crack would be placed on the gauze, heated gently with a lighter to melt it into the gauze, and then while inhaling through the other end of the tube, heated again with a lighter through the glass. This vaporises the drug, which can then be inhaled.
When the pipe has been used for a while, there is a build up of high-quality crack cocaine residue (known as 'recycle') which has condensed on the inside of the pipe, and whenever the user wants to smoke this, they can push the gauze through to the other end with the chopstick, picking up all the recycle in the tube on the way, and then after wiping the outside of the pipe clean, they can smoke this recycle by heating the gauze, and inhaling.
Tips for effective use:
Make sure there are 4 or 5 gauzes in, squash them in hard with the chopstick, and make sure there is a dimple to put the rock in (this reduces the risk of it running down the glass);
Gently melt it all into the gauze, and then heat with the tip of the flame, and when it starts to vaporise, inhale at the same time;
Tip your head back a bit as you start so none melts out the end;
Rotate the pipe as you heat to slow down any running down the pipe (to stop it going in your mouth as a liquid) and vapourise it all, not just one side;
Only put a lung full on the gauze at any one time - if you might have too much, stop heating when your lungs are about ¾ full because the heat will transfer through the glass and into the gauze for a while and it's a waste if it just floats out of the end and you can't get it in your lungs because they're full!

The 8mm needle is commonly used in clinics to administer Botox, because the injections are shallow, and anxiety and perception of pain can be reduced by the shorter needle.

Medical use The 10ml luer slip needle is mainly used in medical practice for administering local anaesthetic into the urethra prior to catheterisation, and also for putting the water into a catheter balloon to keep it in the bladder.
Non-medical use Prescribed injectors with an ‘awkward’ volume of injectable methadone – such as 2 x 35mg/5ml might use a 10ml barrel.
Some injectors attempting to inject oral methadone or crushed tablets may also request larger barrels.
Injectors undertaking “batch preparation” prior to sharing with others may also prepare all the drug in a large barrel.
Cautions / Harm Reduction Advice Requests for any large barrel should prompt a discussion as to how it will be used. There are a number of reasons that might be given, and the responses to them are listed below.
Steroid injectors who say they need a 10ml syringe to inject a large stack – should be advised to not put more than 2ml into a single site; while it can all be drawn into a single large barrel, a fresh sterile needle should be used for each injection.
Opiate users who want to inject oral methadone – should be advised that it is highly damaging and should be strongly discouraged, especially if they are planning to inject into the femoral vein.
Those wanting a large syringe to facilitate the injection of tablets – should be advised that this practice is often damaging to veins, and should be discouraged. If tablets are injected they should be properly filtered to remove as much filler and binder as possible.
It is possible that someone might request a 10ml syringe for dividing up drugs in situations where batch preparation of drugs is taking place – this should lead to a discussion of the blood borne virus risks of batch preparation, and sharing through front or back loading. Injectors should all know that it is imperative that used syringes are not used to measure the drugs, and that used syringes are not used to draw up from a shared spoon. In addition, it is important that each item in the process is clean or sterile and has not come in to contact with blood – so sterile cooker, water, acid and filter should be used, and drawn up into a sterile syringe. Otherwise multiple recipients maybe exposed to the risk of blood borne virus transmission.
