The Wrist and Ankle Sensory Therapy Weights are weighted straps designed to provide proprioception deep pressure input to increase kinesthetic feedback and sensory awareness. They are ideal for use in classrooms and during therapy where individuals would benefit from extra sensory input.
Who Can Use the Sensory Therapy Weights?
The Sensory Therapy Weights can be used by both children and adults, providing extra sensory input for any individual who would benefit from that added support. They are ideal for wearing during such tasks as handwriting, and for supporting hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
Due to the range of sizes and ease of application, the Sensory Therapy Weights are ideal for use in a wide range of environments. They are great for providing additional support in classrooms, and during physiotherapy and occupational therapy sessions.
How Do the Sensory Therapy Weights Work?
When worn on the ankle or wrist, the Sensory Therapy Weight provides some proprioception deep pressure input that in turn increases kinesthetic feedback and sensory awareness. This helps the wearer to focus on the position of the wrist or ankle, as well as their movement and associated responses. This way, it provides an increased awareness for the wearer of their own actions.
